One of the world’s largest manufacturing businesses seek strong supply chain experts with previous management consultancy experience to join their team in Germany. The internal consulting function design supply chain network strategy, manage complex S&OP projects, lead on innovation/digital projects and execute logistics projects (warehousing, 3PL, distribution) across their global supply chain.
Joining a high calibre and multicultural supply chain strategy team of 150 professionals, you will be responsible for shaping the future strategy of one of the largest company supply chains anywhere in the world. With colleagues in Germany, the US, Singapore and Brazil, you will be part of a network of specialists delivering global, regional and local projects across supply chain planning, sustainability, network design, process improvement, continuous improvement and logistics. Projects typically last anywhere from 6-18 months and will typically involve driving complex and holistic improvements in conjunction with senior stakeholders
Supply Chain Strategy Manager – Responsibilities:
- Project management: you will be leading projects that provide innovative solutions to supply chain challenges, help to create greater visibility across the global supply chain and shape the long-term supply chain strategy of a business with more than €30bn in revenue.
- End-to-end delivery: the team has involvement in projects from end-to-end, beginning with opportunity assessment all the way through to implementation planning
- Influencing internally: you will liaise with Director/Executive level stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, making suggestions for further improvements or additional strategic initiatives within their division.
Key skills & experience required:
- A management consultancy background is strongly preferred, although a transformation, innovation and project management background within a global business can also be considered.
- 3-8 years of strategic supply chain experience will be advantageous
- Strong strategic thinker combined with hands-on mentality
- English language competency is essential, German is preferred but by no means a requirement
