Partner – Life Sciences and Consumer Practice – Procurement and Supply Chain Division - UK Based - £190,000 - £230,000 + Bonus, Commission, Pension and Healthcare

Pod is currently working with a global, award-winning management consultancy as they continue to grow their procurement and supply chain consulting team. After a busy start to 2024 and an impressive pipeline of projects, they are looking to build out their Consumer practice with the introduction of a new Partner level hire. The Partner will join the executive committee and take a lead on designing and implementing business strategies to support the growth of their specialist sector.

 

What will the role entail?

Managing an established team of 8 you will be responsible for overseeing the Life Sciences and Consumer practice area. You will take a lead on strategy development, winning new business and overseeing all client delivery. You will:

  • Be the go-to representative for all clients in Life Sciences and Consumer – utilising your experience and knowledge in this area to gain credibility and design solutions for client projects
  • Develop improved service offerings based on pipeline of projects and new client acquisition – focused on cost reduction, procurement excellence, supply chain optimisation and operational excellence
  • Spearhead all new business development opportunities within consumer and life sciences sectors – working in collaboration with the BD team to capitalise on introductions/referrals and personal networks
  • Be the main point of contact for all things life sciences and consumer – working with the other partners to align on business opportunities in cross selling and upselling
  • Attend market and networking events in the life sciences space to enhance the company profile and keep up to date with market trends
  • Get involved in complex procurement and supply chain consulting projects – utilising your experience and expertise to develop innovative solutions for your clients

 

What skills and experience are required?

  • Previous consulting experience is a must – we are looking to speak with candidates who understand the consulting world and who have operated at a senior level delivering for global clients, with a track record of building teams and sector specific practices
  • Excellent procurement, cost reduction and supply chain knowledge specifically within the life sciences space – with a strong network of potential clients
  • Strong leadership skills and experience – the person joining will inherit a strong team but will be expected to grow and develop the consultants
  • A track record of business development and generating sales within a consultancy environment – min. £2M +
  • Strategic mindset and commercial acumen – showcasing a track record of building bespoke service offerings and generating revenue for their practice area
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the gravitas, empathy and credibility to influence and lead across all levels
