Commercial Director DACH

Location: North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany (Hybrid with Travel)

Package: €160,000 - €170,000 + Package

Partnering with a well-established and growing Logistics Service Provider on a critical role to support their continued growth.

Pleased to be retained exclusively on a search for this Commercial Director DACH. This is a very exciting role, leading the commercial strategy with the team for the region, with the potential to grow further across Europe. This business has seen record double-digit growth through its innovative approach to customers and excellence in service., so you'll come into an already buoyant division.

You'll be given great ownership and autonomy, accountable for developing and driving the commercial agenda, driving profitability, managing key accounts understanding market dynamic trends, securing new business wins and ensuring commercial success through a diverse, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Regional Strategy: Develop and implement commercial strategies that align with business goals, ensuring revenue and profit targets are achieved across DACH + new regions
  • Team Leadership: Manage a passionate and driven team,  ensuring they are aligned with the company's growth vision, with a focus on upskilling and mentorship
  • Account Management/New Business: Build strong relationships with existing key accounts and bring on new accounts. Including overseeing contract renewals, RFQs, and profitability and pricing analysis to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Profitability & Growth: Drive topline growth while addressing inefficiencies, delivering cost savings, and improving bottom-line performance. As well as supporting market entry strategies as the business expands

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial role, with a track record partnering with FMCG/Retail Accounts and a strong background in  Supply Chain Management/Logistics ideally within 3PL/4PL
  • Expertise in commercial strategy, RFQs, and profitability management. Capable of driving sales growth, leading transformation, and creating a strong customer focused culture.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a focus on team development, motivating, and coaching. Able to comfortably administer change and implement strategic commercial initiatives.
  • Fluent in German and English; knowledge of Polish is a plus.
