Country Director - Poland
Location: Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid with Travel)
Package: 420–430k PLN / €100,000 + Car and Bonus
We are thrilled to have been retained and partnering with a leading and well established player in the FMCG and retail logistics industry as they seek a Country Director to scale their operations in Poland. This is an exciting opportunity to build and lead a dynamic team while setting the operational foundation for significant growth in the region. With the business aiming to double revenue and team size by the end of 2025, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving strategic expansion and operational excellence.
Your Role:
As the Country Director - Poland, you will oversee a small but growing team. Taking charge of building strong operational foundations, optimising logistics processes, and driving business development in a high-potential market. You’ll be instrumental in re-evaluating current logistics setups working closely with 3PLs and implementing cost-efficient strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a Strong Operational Foundation: Build and develop the Poland team, strategically reviewing processes, frameworks and fostering a culture of innovation, teamwork to support growth ambitions.
- Lead Market Expansion: Drive business development and grow existing accounts. You’ll identify key opportunities in the market and build relationships with major retail and FMCG partners.
- Optimise Logistics and Supply Chain Processes: Evaluate current logistics setups, re-negotiate partnerships, and ensure efficient operations across distribution centres and transport.
- Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and guide the team through this transformative growth phase, ensuring the right talent is in place to support the organisation’s strategic objectives.
What You’ll Bring:
- A strategic, hands on, commercial leader with a track record of developing and growing operations and accounts ideally with FMCG/Retail in Poland
- Experience in setting up fundamentals of an organisation, reviewing processes, operational strategy and future hiring needs ready for growth
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to take teams on a journey, instilling a culture of continuous improvement
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain/Logistics driving efficiencies with 3PL/4PL partners to optimise processes, reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency.
- Fluent in Polish and English
