Global Supply Chain Planning Director

We have been engaged by one of the UK’s most successful brands of the last 10 years to support in the recruitment of a world class Planning Director based in London. This is a rare opportunity to join an exceptional brand on their journey to become a global household name. We are looking for someone with a strong background in both demand and supply planning who can forge strong collaborative networks within and externally to the company. An experienced leader with the ability to drive team engagement who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into operational detail, whilst also working strategically to overcome long-term challenges in a fast-growing business.

Role Accountabilities:

- Implement fit for purpose S&OP process and mature as data is available / business matures

- Determine & implement ‘best fit’ forecasting methodology 

- Accountable for forecast Accuracy

- Determine & implement ‘best fit’ supply planning methodology

- Determine inventory stock policy

- Accountable for On Shelf Availability

- Accountable for inventory levels

- Product lead time reduction

- System evaluation & implementation

- Provision of financial data for cash flow analysis

- Budgeting of COGs, Re-work, intercompany transfer freight

- Freight tenders and management

- Team support and engagement


Key Selection Criteria:

- Experience of demand planning in an omni-channel environment, including B&M & online

- Experience of working directly with multiple suppliers

- Able to demonstrate real examples of taking ownership of projects/improvements right through to the end result 

- Understanding and commercial awareness of the total supply chain including order management and customer relationships

- Technically astute to evaluate and implement new tools relevant to the task

- Practically minded and outcome focused to ‘get the job done’

- Strong project management skills, including presenting business cases with ROI

- Strong communication and presentation skills to positively influence outcomes

- An entrepreneurial flair, real commerciality and great relationship building abilities!
