Lauren originally joined Pod as a researcher, but her natural flair for working with people and great fit with the team meant she became a fully-fledged recruitment consultant in October, sitting in the UK procurement team. In 2018 she worked on a major Pod project with Coty, and during that time operated as an implant talent specialist at Coty. When she returned to her day job at Pod, Lauren realised that her love for talent management had increased, so after a short secondment in our internal talent team Lauren became our full time Talent Manager at Pod from April 2019.
Lauren is now responsible for managing our recruitment, onboarding and L&D activities across Pod. She runs our jedi recruitment scheme, as well as finding us experienced talent to join the PodSquad. If you're a graduate looking to get into recruitment or an experienced recruiter looking for a move, then drop a line to Lauren.
Lauren is our resident Aussie, after graduating from Queensland University of Technology she spent several years working her way up the retail ladder, finishing in a senior management position, she then moved to London and after a short stint at Deliveroo, she found her London home at Pod HQ.
Lauren loves to use her new base in London to make the most of our close proximity to Europe and can often be found jetting off on weekend breaks to various cities. She quickly became renowned in the office for her random Australian colloquialisms and soon had the team using all her favourite phrases! Her biggest achievement in life so far is building a robot as part of her final year art project at university, but it didn’t win because her tutor didn’t understand her abstract vibe (apparently!).
