Pod had worked with ConvaTec for a number of years, and in 2024 they approached us to support them on a large recruitment project within Supply Chain and Logistics.
BACKGROUND
Due to a global Supply Chain transformation project, ConvaTec were hiring a number of Supply Chain and Logistics roles in the UK, across offices in London and the North West. Their talent team had done an exceptional job of hiring talent, but were left with 10 vacancies they were struggling to fill, having exhausted their sourcing channels.
OUR APPROACH
Pod created a dedicated team for ConvaTec, led by a Senior Leader at Pod, who acted as an account manager and who led several Pod Consultants to deliver against the roles. We set up project timescales and SLAs on both sides, to ensure that Pod delivered the results that ConvaTec needed, on time.
Our account manager became an extension of ConvaTec’s talent team, co-ordinating briefs with multiple stakeholders and setting up delivery timescales for each role, then managed the project from sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management and after care, managing both ConvaTec and internal teams at Pod. She also set up weekly update calls with both talent and all hiring managers, and co-ordinated shared working documents so that the Pod team and the ConvaTec team were up to date at all times.
THE RESULT
We placed all 10 roles within a 3 month time period, including:
- Global Supply Planning Manager
- Global Supply Chain Process Manager
- Global Business Data Lead
- Logistics Manager, Continuous Improvement
- Global Logistics Analyst
- Global Demand Planners
- Global Supply Planners
- 9 out of 10 offers were accepted first time, and one which was rejected was replaced within a 2 week period.
- All roles were filled by proactive sources, either from headhunting or from Pod’s existing network, giving ConvaTec access to talent that they didn’t have before.
- Pod received excellent feedback from the ConvaTec team, with their VP of Supply Chain saying “Our roles are now being filled with excellent people, Pod was a fantastic decision!”
